Asset Resilience
to help identify steps individuals can change to protect what matters
for the causes they care about.
What you are unaware of controls you
Are you sure those assets are yours? The platforms don’t care about you.
I’m creating a space to explore the question of what we “own” in the era
of cyber, compute, prediction, machine learning, AI, automation,
auto-photo-filters etc.
with the purpose of helping identify steps individuals can change to
protect what matters for the causes they care about
Join us to safeguard what's essential for the causes you cherish.
What is it for
- At the end of this course, you have learned to
see the cyber-assets around you for what they are. Some of them were never
yours, some on a grayscale of how little yours they are and how much of
them are someone else. Like your phone. And you’ve begun taking steps to
protect those items you have realized you are dependent on to have a great
life & business.
- the purpose of this course is to help you see
what assets around you are partially yours, or not yours and what is fully
yours. And the steps you can take to shift that around in a way that makes
you sleep better at night, knowing you have mitigated many threats to your
assets. This course will be focused on your action-taking on your assets,
it will not be heavy with information, it will be focused on what might
matter to you, why and what are you willing to do about it. Hopefully, you
will also be inspired to give this gift of your new knowledge to help
others At the start of the course, you will be given a checklist that you
will make your own, to make it easy for you to stop at any time (since
life gets in the way for all of us) and continue at your own pace after
the course. Also, you have this checklist when helping those you care
about yourself.
- This is for teaching you how to see what's yours
and what's not, what you control in the platforms and what you don't of
the many systems you depend on.
- In practicality, most of this work will be based
on weekly prompts containing.
- a video explaining the concept, helping you see
the risk and the world surrounding you, and helping you see steps to
protect your work, life and those you care about.
- a prompt, to encourage your inventory-making,
your action-taking into the checklist of what matters to you in
cyberspace that you will keep creating for yourself during this course.
- A prompt to help inspire discussing the prompt,
insights and challenges with your peers inside your cohort. Engaging with
others on the discussion board boosts your learning in this course.
- The work done is done 100% asynchronously. Only
show up in the Live Zoom for the relationships, curiosity and fun of
interaction with your cohort members.
Who is this course for?
People who are willing to explore steps they individually can take to
make their dependencies less fragile and “their” assets more “theirs” than
someone else. it's for those willing to embrace reality and do something to
protect themselves and those they care about (for me “the course creator” that
is also what our society and organisations need right now, if individuals
become better and teach others, our cyber world also becomes safer, our
organisations also become safer)
You are using a computer and phone daily, yet you do not need to be a
technical person. On the contrary, I believe you’ll get the most out of this
course if you are not.
Overgeneralizing this course is for the level-up of these “typical
roles”.
- freelancers who realize that they are dependent
on a lot of things cyber to have a great day and get great results.
- Entrepreneurs who are building something bigger
than their time trade, creating something beyond themselves to help with a
cause, mission, or other ways to elevate others who realize they are 100%
dependent on digital tools to help others be effective and get peace of
mind.
- influencers living on other people's lands and
platforms seeing the dependencies that exist for their profit. For most
influencers it's not your audience, it is the platform, and they change
all the time.
- CIO often working outside your organization's
tools? Let's help you map out your real IT landscape, determine what's
under your control, and strategize how to elevate your IT department's
capabilities. Often CIO:s are hacked via their individual accounts.
Who is it not for?
- You won't find any quick fixes or easy truths in
this course, if you’re looking for that then please move along these are
not the droids you’re looking for. Cleaning up your cyber assets might be
messy and time-consuming. The great thing is you do not have to fix it all
at once, this is a framework you can build on and continue yourself after
the course. Yet if you believe you will just take a peek and do a few
swift changes do a YouTube search instead and save yourself the time.
- it's not the place to shift risk to someone else.
You’ll still be carrying it after the course, yet hopefully with a clearer
and more peaceful mindset around it. You might see the dark more clearly
too, I am sorry about that.
- A Lurker - if you’re only here to read the
instructions you’ll find this course dire and boring. Interaction will
boost your learning speed and awareness, while you’re also generously
making someone see things from your unique perspective. My idea is that
the students after learning to see themselves help turn on the lights for
the people they care about with the help of the checklist they have
created for themselves.
Costs
- Your effort and time commitment will determine
our results in this course. This is a peer-based course where you will
learn 10x better if you give your perspective in the discussion forum
alongside your cohort. 20x faster if you also generously share your
perspective on fellow students’ comments, questions and insights. Note
that the work is yours to carry, we can't do this for you, nor can we take
on your risk. This course will only help you see better.
- 20 000 SEK inclusive Moms (Swedish VAT), paid in
full before starting using your visa/Mastercard.
100% refundable before the end of the course, no questions asked as to why
you want a refund.

an idea of what this is about can be listened to in the new podcast here. Not all covered in
that episode will be part of the course, yet it helps position what its about.
if you’re curious about other body of work before signing up for this
one you might want to listen to my podcast “Result
& Relationships” - shipped weekly since 2013 to your podcast player of
choice.
or one of my newer initiative -
a Group podcast “Agile in simple plain practical Swedish that you can find
at Agile.se”
I also have a list of rather discontinued (sometimes also failed)
creations that might still help you
I'm also very into personal and organisational knowledge management,
Building your Second Brain, Hive Computer, What Am I Teaching Whom Now? etc..
but that is adjacent to this course, NOT part of it.
